The Homepad Air is the main screen for a home built on Simon switches. It is a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 12mm thin, that mounts on a wall or sits on a desk stand and gives the household one place to run lights, curtains, climate, scenes and cameras. Behind the glass is a quad-core 1.8GHz processor and Simon's own interface: device tiles, scenes, clock, weather, calendar. It joins the home network over Wi-Fi 2.4GHz or Ethernet, and Simon lists Zigbee 3.0 on the panel itself, so it can talk straight to Simon's Zigbee switch families without another box on the wall. An RS485 port and an 8-channel IO interface handle wired integrations. This suits a villa or a large apartment where Simon switches are already specified, normally at fit-out stage, and where the client wants a fixed screen at the entrance or in the majlis instead of everyone reaching for a phone. On its own it does nothing useful. It needs Simon devices to control and a working network to reach them. The honest limits: it is dealer supplied and dealer commissioned, not something you buy off a shelf and set up on a Friday. The intercom feature Simon advertises is a per-project customisation built around separate Simon door hardware, not a module inside the panel. And we have found no manufacturer documentation confirming a Bluetooth radio on this SKU, so if Bluetooth-mesh switches must pair through it, get that in writing before you order.

Power first, because people get that wrong. The panel runs on 10-12V DC at 1.5A, fed by an external adapter, so it is never hard-wired into 220-240V AC and carries none of the wrong-voltage risk a mains switch would. It is not a US 120V part either: Simon builds for 220-240V/50Hz markets and supplies the UAE through Stable Link. Public documents do not settle the AC input range of the bundled adapter. Most adapters in this class are universal 100-240V, but ask us to confirm a 220-240V-rated adapter with Stable Link before anything is installed. Fitment is not a back box question. At 253 x 168 x 12mm it goes on a bracket or a desk stand, so it does not drop into a UK BS4662 box or a round EU box. Plan a low-voltage feed and a Type-G socket for the adapter at first fix. Stable Link in Dubai Silicon Oasis is the stated exclusive Simon distributor for the UAE and Oman, a certified dealer commissions the panel, and the socket and containment stay an electrician's job.

In the UAE and Oman the range is handled by Stable Link in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the stated exclusive distributor, on a project-quote basis rather than through retail shelves. A few manual Simon mechanisms appear on Amazon.ae as cross-border imports, but the smart lines are specified and quoted per job.
