Compare the difference
The day something goes wrong.
Anyone can screw a smart lock to a door. The difference shows up months later, on the days below.
The compound asks for a NOC
You find out when security stops the van at the gate. Work halts, hardware sits in a box, and you start the paperwork from zero.
Filed with Emaar, Nakheel, Damac or Meraas before we order anything. Drawings, load figures and licence copies in one submission, 7 to 15 working days.
DEWA trips at 4pm in August
The gate is dead. You get out in 44 degrees and push it by hand, if you can find the manual release at all.
A battery pack carries 8 to 20 full cycles. The manual release sits in a labelled weatherproof box on the pillar, and we show you how to use it on handover day.
The cleaner leaves
She still knows the four digits everyone shares. Changing it means texting a new code to seven people and hoping nobody writes it down.
Revoke her PIN in one tap. Nobody else is affected, because the driver, cook, gardener and nanny each have their own, windowed to the hours they work.
The fire alarm goes off
Electric strikes stay locked. This is what Civil Defence fails you on, and you find out at inspection or, far worse, during a real evacuation.
Every electric lock and gate is wired fail-open off the Hassantuk panel and released inside three seconds. We trigger a live alarm and test it in front of you.
Your remote stops working
Imported 915 MHz gear never legally worked here. TDRA does not licence that band in the UAE, and no local dealer will support it.
Every remote runs TDRA-approved 433 or 868 MHz, with the approval sticker photographed per device in your handover folder. Replacements are stocked in Dubai.
The Wi-Fi drops for an hour
Cloud-only locks stop answering the app. You are back to a physical key, assuming you still carry one.
PIN, fingerprint and Apple HomeKey all work locally on the lock itself. Matter-over-Thread keeps the gate reachable without the internet.
You enrol the nanny’s fingerprint
Biometric templates end up on a guard’s laptop or an overseas server. Under the UAE PDPL that is your liability, not the installer’s.
Signed consent on paper for every face and fingerprint, templates held in UAE-region cloud or on-prem, and deletion inside 30 days when someone leaves.
It breaks in year three
The installer’s number is disconnected, or the brand was a one-off import with no local parts. You replace the whole thing.
CAME, BFT, FAAC, Aqara, Yale, Suprema and DoorBird are all supported here. Your AMC covers battery swaps, an emergency unlock callout and priority response.
