Emaar’s golf community inside Dubai South, a short drive from Al Maktoum International Airport and Expo City. We plan AC control, smart locks, cameras, blinds and Wi-Fi for Golf Views flats, Urbana townhouses and the golf villas, and coordinate the fitting.

Dubai Smart Home designs home automation in Emaar South, Emaar’s golf community inside Dubai South, and runs each job from survey to handover. Typical jobs cover AC control, smart locks with codes, cameras, curtain motors and Wi-Fi, for Golf Views apartments, Urbana and Greenview townhouses and the villas in Golf Links and Parkside. Single upgrades start from AED 1,500.
What moves the price here: flat, townhouse or villa, how much course-facing glass needs blinds, the size of the garden, and whether the home is lived in or newly handed over.
Emaar South is Emaar Properties’ golf community inside Dubai South, the far larger masterplan around Al Maktoum International Airport. It lies between Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Emirates Road (E611), close to Expo City Dubai, and its homes surround an 18-hole championship course. There are Golf Views apartments, two and three bedroom Urbana townhouses, Greenview villas and townhouses, and three and four bedroom villas in Golf Links, Parkside and Expo Golf Villas. One area guide pitches it at families, professionals and frequent flyers. Downtown is about 40 minutes by car, and the schools sit outside the community.
Many owners give their address as Dubai South, and a smart home for a Dubai South villa beside the golf course is what this page covers. The homes are young. Golf Views, Golf Links and the three Urbana phases were finished by 2020 and Greenview 2 in 2023, while newer phases such as Greenway and Golf Edge are listed for 2028 and 2029. We found no Emaar smart home spec for Emaar South, so most owners add their own. How the homes are cooled is not published either, so smart home installation in Emaar South starts with a look at your bills.
No source we could find says how Emaar South homes are cooled. South Energy runs district cooling in other Dubai South districts, and one Golf Views rental advert says “chiller free”. Fan coil units and split AC need different controllers, so we read your bill before choosing one.
Homes that back onto the 18-hole course are built to look at it, often through wide glass doors. Afternoon sun then heats the living room fast. Blind or curtain motors on a sun schedule close before the heat builds and open again for the evening view.
One area guide pitches Emaar South at frequent flyers, and Al Maktoum International Airport is a short drive away. Before a trip, one tap holds the AC at 26 to 27°C, as DEWA advises for empty homes, closes the blinds and arms the door sensors.
Golf Views, Golf Links and Urbana were finished by 2020, and phases such as Greenway and Golf Edge are listed for 2028 and 2029. A lived-in home suits wireless devices that need no wall chasing. A buyer still waiting can plan cable for the days right after handover.
Villa plots here run about 2,500 to 6,000 sq ft, by one fit-out firm’s figures, most with a private garden. A smart controller waters before sunrise, skips damp zones and pauses in strong wind. Our published figure is 40 to 60 percent less water than a plain timer.
Emaar has announced an Emaar Smart Home partnership with Xiaomi, but that release covers the whole company. We found no smart home spec for Emaar South on Emaar’s pages or the big property guides. So the survey starts by listing what your unit really has, then plans the rest.
Plug-in devices need no approval. Fixed or outside work may need a community NOC, most likely through Emaar Community Management. We confirm it at the survey and prepare it.
