Villa systems built for salt air and sea on two sides, Trunk apartments on Empower cooling, and new towers fresh from handover. One installer for every home on the island, from a single smart lock to a full Signature Villa.

Dubai Smart Home installs home automation across Palm Jumeirah, from frond villas and Signature Villas to Trunk apartments such as Shoreline and Golden Mile. Villa jobs usually cover lighting, security, gates, the pool and marine-rated outdoor devices, while apartment jobs focus on AC, curtains and locks. Single upgrades start from AED 1,500, and a full frond villa usually takes two to four weeks.
What changes the price: the size of the villa, how much of the garden, pool and beach side you automate, and whether ceilings are open for cabling.
Palm Jumeirah is really three places. The Trunk holds apartment clusters such as Shoreline, Golden Mile, Tiara and Oceana, cooled by Empower. The 16 fronds are lined with villas, from Garden Homes to Signature Villas on plots of up to about 14,000 square feet, most with a private pool and the beach at the end of the garden. The Crescent tips now hold new towers such as Serenia Living and Six Senses Residences, handed over in 2026. Smart home installation on Palm Jumeirah means working to the rules of each.
Two things shape every villa job here. The first is the sea: salt air reaches every outdoor camera, speaker and gate motor, so standard kit does not last. The second is Nakheel. Almost any change you can see from outside needs a Nakheel NOC and a Trakhees permit, and nothing may rise above the roof parapet. Many owners also spend months abroad, so remote access and staff codes matter as much as lighting scenes.
Outdoor equipment on the Palm faces sea air from more than one side. AC fins that last years inland can corrode within 12 to 18 months here without coastal treatment. We use marine-rated cameras, speakers and enclosures with stainless-steel fixings, and keep the main equipment indoors.
A frond villa has the road at the front and the water behind, with neighbours close on either side. Cameras, gate control and beach-side sensors have to be planned for privacy as much as coverage, so nothing looks into the next garden.
Nakheel now restricts anything that rises above a frond villa’s roof parapet, and outdoor equipment must sit in set zones. That rules out roof-mounted access points and camera poles. We plan every outdoor device around these rules before the NOC goes in.
Most frond villas have a private pool, a terrace and a garden running to the sand. The pump, heating, lights and irrigation can all run on one schedule in the same app as the house, with an alert if a pump stops.
Villas here often have housekeepers, drivers and gardeners, and owners who spend months away. Each person gets their own code with set hours, every entry is logged, and you can check cameras, AC and leak sensors from anywhere.
Trunk and Crescent towers are cooled by chilled water from Empower, through fan coil units in each apartment. Frond villas need a different approach, so we check the AC system in every villa at the survey before choosing thermostats and controls.
Villa work needs a Nakheel NOC and a Trakhees permit, and apartment work needs building approval. We prepare and submit both as part of the job.
