Stand-alone family villas, gated compounds such as Uptown Mirdif and Shorooq, and Ghoroob’s low-rise flats, minutes from Dubai International Airport. We design AC control, cameras, gate access, Wi-Fi and sleep scenes for homes under the flight path, and see each job through to handover.

Dubai Smart Home designs home automation in Mirdif, the villa suburb beside Dubai International Airport, and coordinates every job to handover. Typical work is AC control for villas with their own units, fan coil thermostats in Uptown Mirdif and Ghoroob, cameras on gates and doors, Wi-Fi for big plots and night scenes. Single upgrades start from AED 1,500.
In Mirdif the price follows the home and its cooling: a Ghoroob flat on Empower, a Shorooq villa, or a stand-alone plot running its own AC. Large rebuilt villas with a pool and a cinema can reach AED 350,000.
Mirdif, also spelled Mirdiff, is the established villa suburb on the Deira side of Dubai. It sits between Al Mizhar to the north and Al Warqa to the south, with Mushrif Park along its eastern edge and Dubai International Airport less than 15 minutes away by car. Most streets are stand-alone villas on their own plots, with no master developer. Among them sit gated pockets: Uptown Mirdif by Union Properties, the 668 villas of Shorooq on Algeria Street, the Ghoroob apartment blocks by Dubai Properties and the newer Mirdif Hills by Dubai Investments.
Mirdif grew up with mostly Emirati and other local owners, and expat families now rent many of its villas and flats. Much of it is not freehold, with Mirdif Hills the clear exception. Cooling changes from one pocket to the next. Stand-alone villas and Shorooq run their own AC on DEWA, Uptown Mirdif and Mirdif Hills use Emicool, and Ghoroob uses Empower. Parts of the suburb also sit under the airport approach. So smart home installation in Mirdif usually starts with the right AC control, cameras, Wi-Fi and a bedroom scene for noisy nights.
Planes landing at Dubai International pass low over parts of Mirdif, and a UAE University noise study named it one of the two most affected areas. Residents say Uptown Mirdif is under the path and Shorooq is clear. Smart tech cannot block the sound, but sleep scenes, white noise and phone door alerts help.
A stand-alone villa runs its own split or ducted AC on DEWA, so an infrared or wired controller does the job. Uptown Mirdif and Mirdif Hills are on Emicool, and Ghoroob is on Empower. Their fan coil units need a fan coil thermostat, not a Nest, so we check which you have first.
Mirdif families have compared villa DEWA bills on local forums for more than a decade. One moved into a four bedroom villa and got a first bill of about AED 2,400 for 40 days. Ageing units and cooling empty rooms push bills like that up. Room schedules and circuit tracking show where the money goes.
Outside the gated compounds, most Mirdif homes are stand-alone villas behind their own wall and gate. Nobody screens visitors for you. A video intercom, a driveway camera and door sensors put the gate on your phone, so you can answer a courier from the office or the school run.
Many stand-alone Mirdif villas were built well before smart devices were common. Switch boxes may have no neutral wire, and bedrooms may have no data point. Our designs use no-neutral switches, relays and wireless sensors wherever they can, so most of your walls stay closed.
Ghoroob’s low-rise blocks share stairs and corridors. One resident warned on a forum that bikes, plants and toys left outside the door tend to go missing. A video doorbell or a small door camera records who passes, and a smart lock logs every entry to the flat.
Stand-alone Mirdif villas have no master developer, so there is no developer NOC. In Uptown Mirdif, Ghoroob and Mirdif Hills, we check community rules and prepare any NOC needed.
