Dubai Smart Home installs home automation in Al Wasl villas, from independent homes on their own plots to compounds such as Dar Wasl and The Galleria Villas. Most jobs retrofit smart AC control, cameras, gate and garage control, pool and garden automation and Wi-Fi, usually without new cabling. Single upgrades start from AED 1,500, and a full villa takes two to four weeks.
What changes the price: plot and villa size, the number of AC units, how much of the garden and pool you automate, and whether the villa is finished or being rebuilt.
Al Wasl sits between Jumeirah and Business Bay, with Al Safa on one side and Al Satwa on the other, and it is one of the oldest residential districts in Dubai. Most homes are independent villas on their own plots of about 8,000 to 20,000 square feet, on an ordinary street grid rather than inside a gated community. Around them sit gated compounds such as Dar Wasl and The Galleria Villas, and on the City Walk side, newer apartment towers.
Age is the main thing that shapes smart home installation in Al Wasl. Many villas were wired and cooled long before smart devices existed, so we work with what is there: AC controllers that learn your existing units, switches chosen for older wiring, and wireless gate, camera and garden systems. There is no master developer here, and most device-only work needs no approval at all.
Al Wasl villas are cooled by their own AC units on the DEWA bill, often several per house. Smart controllers switch off empty rooms, cool the house before you get home and run an away mode while you travel.
Villas here can be decades old, with older boards and wiring. We check the electrical load and each switch box before adding devices, and choose smart switches and relays that suit the wiring rather than opening walls.
Independent villas open straight onto the street, not a guarded community road. A video intercom and smart gate controller let you see who is at the gate, open it from anywhere and give drivers and staff their own access.
With plots up to 20,000 square feet, one camera by the door is not enough. Four to six outdoor cameras usually cover the gate, driveway, garden and back wall, with alerts when someone is on the property at night.
Thick walls, two or three floors and a large garden defeat a single router. Access points on each floor and one weatherproof unit outside give steady Wi-Fi for cameras, speakers and garden devices.
Many villas have established gardens and private pools that need daily care in summer. Irrigation, garden lighting and the pool pump can all run on schedules from the same app, with alerts if something stops.
Al Wasl has no master developer, so there is no community NOC. Device-only work rarely needs a permit, and gated compounds may have their own contractor rules, which we check first.
