The DL05 is the lock we suggest for doors that matter without being the front door. It handles fingerprint, PIN, card and mechanical key at a price that makes it reasonable to fit three of them, which is why it ends up on maid's room doors, kitchen side entrances, roof access and store rooms across Dubai villas. Auto-lock means those doors stop being left open, which is the actual problem on a secondary entrance. Set expectations honestly. This is an entry tier lock: build quality, reader speed and finish are a step below the Yale and the ZKTeco, and the app is basic. On a main door where a failure strands the family outside, spend more. On a store room where a failure is an inconvenience and the mechanical key is two metres away in a drawer, this is good value and there is no argument for spending four times as much. Dubai villas typically have four to six external doors, and the ones that get left unlocked are never the front one. Fitting this to the kitchen side door, the maid's room and the roof access costs less than one premium lock and removes the recurring problem of doors nobody bothers to lock. It also gives a clean way to handle staff: a card each, deactivated the day someone leaves, with a log of entries rather than a guess. We do not recommend it for a villa main door. That door needs a lock with a service network behind it, and this is not that lock.
