The lowest priced way into the Ring range and the wrong purchase for most Dubai apartments, because it has no battery at all. It draws continuous power from an existing 8-24VAC doorbell transformer, or from Ring's own plug-in mains adapter if you can get a cable to the door. A large share of apartments here were built without doorbell wiring, so check behind the frame before ordering rather than after. Where power is available it is a tidy unit: small, permanently on with no charging cycle to remember, and quick to fit onto an existing bell position. Recording is cloud only. After the 30 day trial, a Ring Protect plan is what keeps any video history, and without it you get live view and motion alerts but no saved clips to look back at. Decide whether an ongoing yearly cost is acceptable, and whether you are comfortable with footage of your own front door held on Ring's servers outside the UAE. The compact body also means no separate chime is included, so alerts land on the phone or on an Alexa speaker you already own.

Many Dubai apartment buildings have no chime wiring at the flat entrance at all, and running a new low voltage cable through a finished corridor wall is not something a tenant can do or a building will usually permit. The realistic workaround is the plug-in adapter with a cable through the frame to an internal socket, which works but is visible and needs planning. Villas are the easier case, since a bell push at the front door often already has a transformer behind it, and the harder question there is the gate rather than the door: a gate 20 or 30 metres from the house usually has no power and no usable Wi-Fi, and a wired doorbell cannot solve that on its own. Being cloud only, this doorbell keeps footage of your entrance on servers outside the UAE, which is a fair thing to weigh before choosing it.
