The optional master controller that adds scenes, schedules and remote access to a Simon iO wiring system, for villas and apartments already being fitted with Simon plates.
The Hub Pro iO is the master controller for Simon's iO smart wiring system, and it is optional in a very specific way. Simon iO switches and sockets still turn lights on and off without it. Scenes, schedules and remote access only exist once the hub is added. It sits on the home Wi-Fi and talks to the iO devices over Z-Wave Plus with S2 encryption, so the wall plates stay wired and normal while the automation logic lives in one box. With it you get multi-room scenes, time schedules, presence simulation while the family is away for the summer, keypad-triggered automations, access from outside the house, separate logins for family and staff, and voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant. It suits a Dubai villa or apartment already being fitted with Simon 270 or Simon 100 plates, which in practice means a new fit-out or a renovation where an electrician is changing switches anyway. To run it you need Simon iO devices, a stable router and the Simon iO App. The honest limits: it speaks Z-Wave and Wi-Fi, not Zigbee, Thread or Matter, so Aqara sensors and Hue bulbs do not join it. It is IP20, dry indoor only. There is no published Apple Home support. And it is not a shelf product here. It comes through an authorised Simon iO project dealer, so we specify it, install it and commission it as part of a lighting control package rather than selling it as a box.
Model Simon Hub Pro iO (ref. 21032108-039 desktop / 10032108-138 built-in)
| Protocols | Z-Wave Plus with S2 encryption plus Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for app pairing and setup. It is the master controller for the Simon iO ecosystem, not a Zigbee device. |
| Gateway or processor required | None. This unit is the gateway itself. It links Simon iO switches, sockets and sensors to the home Wi-Fi router and the Simon iO cloud, so no separate hub is needed. |
| Power supply | 230 V~, 50-60 Hz, mains-fed and always on, per the manufacturer datasheet |
| IP rating | IP20, dry indoor locations only, not weatherproof |
| Desktop format (ref. 21032108-039) | Free-standing plug-in unit, gloss white thermoplastic housing, about 256g, plugs into any standard wall socket |
| Built-in format (ref. 10032108-138, current equivalent 10032108-130) | Module integrated into a Simon 100 wall-box outlet, wired directly into the mains ring |
| Installation route | Desktop: DIY, plug and play, no electrician. Built-in wall plate: requires a licensed, certified electrician for the mains wiring. |
| Ecosystem, app and voice control | Simon iO App for iOS and Android, unlocking scenes, schedules, presence simulation and keypad automations. Voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant once connected. |
The electronics are right for the UAE. Simon's datasheet lists a 230V supply at 50-60Hz, CE and RED certified, which matches our mains exactly, so no step-down transformer and no adapter. The desktop unit (ref. 21032108-039) plugs into an ordinary UAE socket and that is the whole job. The built-in version is the part to watch. Those Spanish kits sit in an EU-pattern Simon 100 wall box and carry a German Schuko round-pin socket face, which does not match our BS 1363 Type-G outlets, so the GCC-market frame and socket has to be ordered instead. Simon also lists ref. 10032108-138 as discontinued and the white 10032108-130 as while stocks last, so confirm part numbers with the distributor before anyone commits. Mains wiring is for a licensed electrician only. On supply, Stable Link in Dubai Silicon Oasis is often assumed to be the UAE Simon dealer, but it carries the separate Simon M7 Zigbee line and points to Simon HQ for iO, so this hub has to come through a Simon iO authorised project dealer.
Simon in the UAE. The Spanish wiring-device maker (Simon S.A., founded 1916) and its Simon Electric China arm. In the UAE and Oman the range is handled by Stable Link in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the stated exclusive distributor, on a project-quote basis rather than through retail shelves. A few manual Simon mechanisms appear on Amazon.ae as cross-border imports, but the smart lines are specified and quoted per job.
