The Linus L2 is the option for someone who wants Yale's UAE support network without cutting the door. It mounts on the inside face over an existing euro cylinder and turns it, so the outside of the door is untouched, the original key still works and everyone in the house can carry on as before. That combination makes it viable in apartments and in villas where the door is a finished piece of joinery nobody wants a router taken to. Bluetooth handles control at the door. Adding the Wi-Fi bridge brings remote locking, Apple Home, Alexa and Google, and the optional keypad adds PIN entry for anyone without the app, which in practice is how staff and older family members get in. Auto-lock closes the deadbolt behind you on a timer, which quietly fixes the most common security failure in any home, a door left on the latch. It needs a euro cylinder that turns freely from inside with the key in the outside; on a stiff or misaligned lock, fix the door first.

Confirm with your landlord even so: the device is non-destructive and comes off cleanly, but building management in some towers takes an interest in anything fitted to a fire-rated entrance door. Check the mechanism first. If the key is currently stiff to turn or the door has dropped on its hinges, the motor will struggle, and the honest answer is to adjust the door before fitting anything smart to it. The Wi-Fi bridge is not optional in practice: without it you have a Bluetooth lock you can only control while standing next to it.
