The most complete cheap package in this category: battery powered, supplied with a physical plug-in chime, and able to record to a microSD card with no subscription. For an apartment with no doorbell wiring and no interest in a monthly plan, very little else at this price covers all three. The included chime is the part people underestimate. Every other battery doorbell here alerts your phone and nothing else, which fails the moment a phone is on silent or charging in another room, and the DB2C simply plugs its chime into any socket inside the flat. Video is 1080p, a step below the 2K units in this range, and that gap shows if you want to read a plate or identify a face at distance rather than see who is at the door. The rechargeable battery gives around four months per charge in normal use. Human detection cuts the false alerts a corridor camera otherwise generates, and two-way talk handles the courier conversation.
