A wire-free 2K camera with a solar panel built into the top, and the one battery camera here that suits this climate specifically. Dubai gets more usable sun than almost anywhere these are sold, so a position with a few hours of direct light keeps the cell topped up and the recharging problem that puts people off battery cameras largely disappears. Storage is on the device with no monthly fee, and it pairs with a eufy HomeBase 3 if you want longer retention held locally in the property. Resolution is 2K, a step above the 1080p battery cameras here. There is a real tension to plan around: the solar panel wants direct sun, and the camera body and battery do not. The workable compromise in a Dubai villa is an east or north-facing position that takes morning sun rather than the full west-facing afternoon, or a mount where the panel sits in light while the body stays under the edge of a soffit. Like any battery camera it wakes on detection rather than recording continuously, so a short moment at the start of each event is missed. For a boundary wall or a rear garden that is fine.

Solar makes more sense in the UAE than in most markets these cameras were designed for, and it removes the one thing people genuinely dislike about battery cameras. The catch is that sun is also what damages outdoor electronics here. A camera and a lithium battery baking on a bare west-facing wall through a Dubai August is being asked to work near the top of its stated fifty degree range every afternoon, and heat is what shortens battery life more than cycle count does. The better siting is a position taking morning or filtered light, or a mount under the lip of a soffit where the panel still catches sun but the body sits in shade. Storage stays local, so nothing renews annually and no footage of your garden leaves the property. Keep the field of view inside your own boundary: a camera on a villa wall in a Dubai community very easily takes in a neighbour's garden or the walkway to a communal pool, and that is a problem worth avoiding at install rather than after a complaint.
