The Bosch ID60C is a lever handle fingerprint lock with PIN, card, key and Wi-Fi app control, and it suits an owner who wants the Bosch name on a simple keyless lock for a shaded main door. It is not part of the German Bosch Smart Home range. It comes from Bosch's smart lock business in China, is built to the Chinese GA 374-2019 lock standard, and is sold in Southeast Asia by Bosch Malaysia. We found no evidence of a separate brand licence, and no Bosch-run sales or service channel in the UAE. You grip the handle, your finger lands on the sensor built into it, and the door opens in one movement. It stores 100 fingerprints, 100 PINs and 100 cards, which covers family, maids and drivers. The Smart Life app over Wi-Fi adds access logs, alerts and remote guest codes, with no hub needed. Four AA batteries power it, with a USB-C port for emergency power. The lock uses its own 6068 mortise, a Chinese layout, so most Dubai doors with a European DIN mortise need re-routing, which we check first. Some online listings mention face recognition and a camera, but this model has neither. Bosch rates it only to 55°C, so it is a poor pick for a door in direct sun.

The ID60C brings its own 6068 mortise, a Chinese layout with a 60 mm backset and 68 mm between the handle and the cylinder. Most Dubai doors come with a European DIN mortise at 72 mm centres, so the old lock comes out and the door usually needs re-routing and new holes. It suits timber and steel doors from 40 to 90 mm thick, and it supports top and bottom hook bolts on multi-point security doors. Bosch rates it from -25°C to 55°C, which is a lower ceiling than many digital locks. A west-facing villa door in July can pass that on the panel surface, so we fit it on shaded doors or doors off an indoor corridor. Tower apartment doors are often fire-rated and need building management approval, and tenants need landlord consent. Warranty and service in the UAE run through the seller, not Bosch.
