The Philips DDL615-5HBS is the entry lock in the Philips EasyKey range: a slim lever handle lock that opens by fingerprint, PIN, key tag or key, and sets up over Bluetooth. It suits an apartment entrance off an indoor corridor, a home office, a study or a maid's room, for buyers who want a known name on a simple keyless lock at around AED 750. It has no camera and no Wi-Fi. Shenzhen Conex Intelligent Technology makes it under a Philips licence. You grip the handle, your finger lands on the sensor underneath, and pressing down opens the door. When locked, the outside handle swings freely, so forcing it down does not strain the mortise. The panel is only 56 mm wide, which helps on narrow door stiles. The Home Access app talks to the lock by Bluetooth when you stand near it. From anywhere, you can still create offline guest PINs that the lock accepts without being online. You cannot unlock remotely, get live alerts or link it to Alexa, Google or Apple Home. It runs on four AAA batteries that Philips rates at about six months, with USB-C emergency power. Fit depends on the mortise body, which differs between Philips UAE and global specs, so we confirm it before ordering. Skip it for a sun-facing villa front door, or if you want remote access and auto-locking.

The DDL615 is a lever lock, not a push-pull, and the mortise body decides the fit. Philips UAE lists a 5572 mortise, the 55 mm backset and 72 mm handle-to-cylinder layout common on European-style timber doors in Dubai. Conex's global spec lists 5050, 3585 and 4585 narrow profile mortises instead. We confirm which body is in the box and measure your door before ordering. Doors from 35 to 90 mm thick are covered, in any handing. It is rated from -20°C to 60°C, but Philips gives no water or dust rating, so we keep it to doors under cover. Good spots are apartment entrance doors off an air-conditioned corridor, home offices, maid's rooms and storerooms. Fire-rated tower doors still need building management approval, and tenants need landlord consent. Spare AAA batteries are easy to find in any supermarket.
Philips EasyKey in the UAE. Philips-branded digital door locks produced under brand licence rather than by Philips lighting or electronics. Sharaf DG sells entry models directly, while the camera and palm-vein flagships reach the UAE through third-party sellers, so we source those to order. Lock body sizes differ by region, so we confirm the mortise body against your door before ordering.
