The S5 is the finger vein lock to specify on a villa main entrance rather than a secondary door. It uses the same infrared vein reading as the SV40, which is what makes it reliable on damp, dusty and worn fingers, and it puts that sensor on a heavier lock body with a push-pull handle and a card credential the SV40 does not offer. The card is the reason most people step up to it: staff get their own credential without an app account and without ever being told a household PIN, and voiding it takes seconds. Entry otherwise runs through vein, PIN, app and mechanical key, with auto-lock and a log that names the person and the method. Be clear-eyed about the biometrics. Reading under the skin removes the failure modes that make surface fingerprint readers annoying here, and it is harder to copy because you do not leave vein patterns on door handles. It is not unbreakable, and we would rather say so than let a claim like that sit unchallenged on a product page. Support is a Lockin distributor relationship, which is the trade against Yale at this price.

This is built for the Dubai villa main door with mixed users: family, live-in staff, a driver and regular contractors, all on one entrance and all with different hands. Vein reading is what stops the household reverting to a single PIN everyone knows because the fingerprint sensor keeps failing in the heat, which is how most access arrangements quietly collapse. Cards cover anyone the biometrics should not be enrolled for at all. Fitting is a full replacement that works the door, so measure thickness and backset before ordering and treat this as an owner's product. Lockin is a new brand for us and support runs through a distributor rather than a showroom with parts on the shelf, so if service coverage is the thing that decides your main door, Yale is still the safer answer.
Lockin in the UAE. Sold through UAE smart home retail. Its palm-vein and finger-vein locks read blood-vessel patterns rather than a fingerprint surface, which is a class of lock most brands here do not offer.
