This replaces the plain flush ceiling light already in a bedroom, corridor or spare room, on the existing point, in an afternoon. That is its case: no aperture cutting, no driver hidden above a slab, no hub. It mounts to the ceiling point that is already there and connects over Wi-Fi. The WW in the name is the part that matters day to day, warm and cool white in one fitting, so a bedroom runs cool in the morning and warm in the evening on a schedule. The IC part is segmented colour, which means the fitting can hold more than one colour at once rather than washing flat, and that is genuinely fun in a child's room and largely decorative elsewhere. The limitation to price in is the same one every Wi-Fi fitting carries: it is a client on your router, and it drops out of the app if the wall switch feeding it is turned off, which in a bedroom is exactly the switch people use. Where the household switches lights at the wall out of habit, put a smart switch on that circuit instead and keep the ordinary fitting.
