Overview

What it is and where it fits

The inverter for a large Dubai villa with a heavy summer AC load, and one of the few here with a published AED price. Thirty kilowatts across three phases at 400V, which matches the supply arrangement of most Dubai villas, and it handles unbalanced three-phase loads rather than assuming a tidy split. Phase is the first thing to get right and the thing most people get wrong. A Dubai villa is typically fed at 400V three phase, and a single-phase inverter will not commission on that supply no matter how attractive its price is. This unit is built for it. Up to ten can run in parallel to 500kW, which is beyond residential need but tells you the platform is engineered for commercial work rather than scaled up from a domestic product. It works both on-grid and off-grid, and couples batteries on the DC or AC side. One architecture decision to make consciously: this is a high-voltage battery inverter, not a 48V low-voltage one. That rules out pairing it with Pylontech's 48V rack modules and ties you to a smaller set of high-voltage battery stacks. If low-voltage flexibility matters to you, the Growatt WIT 15K-HU is the 48V alternative. Deye stocks broadly in the UAE through Nastech Solar in Jebel Ali alongside PAS Solar and Maxima.

  • Sized for a large villa's full summer air conditioning load
  • Three phase at 400V, which is what a Dubai villa actually has
  • Runs grid-tied or fully off-grid from the same box
  • Handles an unbalanced load across phases without tripping out

What to check before you order

AED 22,660 is the live ex-VAT checkout price on Maxima Solar's Dubai storefront, and it sits inside the AED 22,660 to 27,295 range we have seen quoted across Deye's mid and large hybrid line in this market. Phase is the gate: most Dubai villas are supplied at 400V three phase, and this unit is designed around that, including unbalanced loads where one phase carries far more than the others, which is exactly what happens when the kitchen and several split units sit on the same leg. Thirty kilowatts is a large villa's inverter, not an apartment's. Battery architecture is high voltage, so a Pylontech 48V rack bank is not a valid pairing and the battery choice narrows to high-voltage stacks. Deye has one of the deepest UAE stock positions of any hybrid brand through Nastech in Jebel Ali, so lead times are short and spares are local. For a Shams Dubai grid-tied system, the exact inverter model must appear on DEWA's eligible equipment list and a DEWA-enrolled contractor must connect it. For an off-grid or backup build, neither requirement applies.

Questions about the Deye SUN-30K-SG01HP3-EU Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter

How do I know whether my villa is single phase or three phase?
Chevron down icon
Open the DEWA meter or the main distribution board and count the incoming live conductors: three lives plus a neutral is three phase at 400V, one live plus a neutral is single phase at 230V. Most Dubai villas are three phase, most apartments are single. Send us a photo of the board and we will tell you before anything is ordered.

Can I use Pylontech batteries with this inverter?
Chevron down icon
No. This is a high-voltage battery inverter and Pylontech's US3000C and US5000 are 48V low-voltage rack modules. The voltage architectures do not interoperate. If you want the wide low-voltage battery compatibility Pylontech gives you, choose a 48V hybrid such as the Growatt WIT 15K-HU instead.

Is 30kW too much for a villa?
Chevron down icon
For most, yes. Thirty kilowatts suits a large villa with a heavy air conditioning load and enough roof to justify it. A typical Dubai villa system under Shams Dubai lands between 5 and 15 kWp, sized against actual annual consumption. Oversizing a net-metered system wastes money, because DEWA credits surplus against future bills rather than paying cash for it.

Will this work if DEWA power fails?
Chevron down icon
With batteries connected and configured for backup, yes, which is the reason to buy a hybrid rather than a plain grid-tied inverter. Be realistic about the value in Dubai proper, where residential outages are close to non-existent. Backup capability matters more for Northern Emirates properties, farm and remote sites, and clients who simply want the resilience.
