Stick it to a safe and get an alert if anyone knocks it. Put it on a window pane and it reports a strike on the glass rather than the window being opened. Fit it to a store room door that swings rather than latches, or to a wall-mounted item you want to know about if it is moved. Sensitivity is adjustable across three levels, which matters because the high setting will report a heavy door closing elsewhere in the room. It runs on Zigbee and needs an Aqara hub, with a coin cell rated for a long life given how rarely it reports. Be realistic about it. This is a supplementary sensor, not a security system, and the more useful security pairing in most homes is a contact sensor on the door and a camera covering the space. Buy the vibration sensor for the specific object you cannot cover any other way.
