Choose this if the house already runs on Google Home and you want the thermostat in the same app as everything else. The constraint is unchanged: on a UAE split or fan-coil system it needs a wired conversion adapter, Dropair Mini6 or Mini6s for most brands, Fujitsu UTY-TTRX for O'General. Nest builds a schedule from how you actually use the AC rather than asking you to program one, which suits households that never got around to setting a timer. Savings Finder proposes small set point changes and shows the energy history behind them, so the reasoning is visible rather than hidden. Integration into Google Home is the cleanest of any thermostat sold here, including Arabic language support in the app. Set expectations on the hardware: this is the standard Nest, not the Learning model, so it has a simpler display and does not ship with a remote sensor. In a single zone apartment that is fine. In a multi-zone villa, look at the Learning Thermostat instead.

Nest was designed around North American 24V heating and cooling wiring, so in Dubai it depends on a conversion adapter exactly as ecobee does. Dropair Mini6 or Mini6s bridges Samsung, LG, Gree, Midea, Daikin and Carrier split units. O'General, still widespread in older Dubai villas, needs the Fujitsu UTY-TTRX. That is AED 600 to 800 per zone plus wiring labour at the indoor unit or fan coil, and no amount of app configuration replaces it. Nest has the strongest official UAE retail presence of the wall thermostats, through Amazon.ae and Sharaf DG, with Arabic in the Google Home app. Apple Home users should note that Nest does not appear in Apple Home, so an ecobee is the better fit in an iPhone household.
