This is a complete motorised roller blind rather than a driver added to an existing one, which is what makes it the right answer when the current blind is tired, badly sized or was never there. The motor is built into the tube, so there is no chain hanging down the wall and nothing bolted onto the side of the bracket. Price varies with the width of the window, which is why the range here is wide: order by measurement, not by model. Control is by app, schedule and scene, with a rechargeable battery and a solar panel option that suits the light levels on a Dubai window. Remote access, voice assistants and automations running while the house is empty need a SwitchBot hub, as with everything else in the range. Choose it over the driver-style products when you are replacing the blind anyway, in a new fit-out, or where the existing blind is spring loaded and therefore cannot be motorised at all. If you already have a good bead-chain roller blind in reasonable condition, a driver costs a fraction of this and does the same job, so measure the situation honestly before replacing hardware that still works.

This is the sensible choice during a fit-out or when a blind is being replaced anyway, since fitting a new blind and a driver separately costs more effort for the same result. It is measured per window, so a villa with several different opening sizes gets a different figure for each, and we take those measurements on site rather than from a drawing. Where the existing blind is spring loaded and snaps up, a driver cannot help and this is the only route. On west-facing glass the useful automation is not a clock but a heat or light trigger, so the blind drops before the room gains temperature rather than after somebody notices. Without a SwitchBot hub the blind responds over Bluetooth in the room only.
