The igloohome Lockbox (SK4) is a smart key box, not a door lock. It suits Dubai holiday-home hosts, landlords and families who need to pass keys, access cards or a car fob to guests, cleaners or contractors without meeting them. It is igloohome's newest lockbox and the one you can buy in the UAE today, since the older Keybox 3E has no in-stock offer here. You open it with a PIN on its physical keypad or with a Bluetooth key in the igloohome app. The codes work with no internet. You create a one-time, dated, recurring or permanent PIN in the app, send it by message, and the box checks it by itself. It holds up to 200 PIN codes and keeps 2,000 log entries. Inside there is room for several keys, a card and a fob. Four AAA batteries last 12 to 16 months, and a USB-C power bank wakes it if they run flat. It is rated IP66 against dust and water and IK07 against knocks. Remote opening and live logs need the igloohome Wi-Fi Bridge, about AED 349. There is no shackle, so it screws to a wall. That means drilling, which many tower corridors do not allow without building management approval. Its rating stops at 50°C, so it needs shade in a Dubai summer. Skip it if you cannot drill, or if a smart lock on the door itself would do the job better.

The Lockbox fits best at a villa or townhouse: on the boundary wall by the gate, or in a shaded porch near the front door. Keep it out of direct sun. igloohome rates it from -20 to 50°C, and a dark box on a west-facing wall goes past that in July, which also drains the AAA batteries faster. IP66 means dust storms and the odd rain shower are fine. In apartment towers, a box screwed to the corridor wall usually needs building management approval, and many buildings refuse. A key may not get a guest past the lobby either, because towers often want an access card or guest registration at security. The box can hold the card, but it does not replace DTCM guest registration. Tenants need the landlord's approval to drill. Power cuts do not affect it. If you add the Wi-Fi Bridge, it needs a socket close to the box, which is hard at a gate far from the house.
