Lenovo E3 Pro smart door lock: doorbell video call, remote unlocking and timed guest codes from AED 950, for Dubai villas, holiday homes and homes with staff.
The Lenovo E3 Pro is a Wi-Fi smart door lock with a built-in doorbell camera, the one to buy in this range if you run a Dubai villa or holiday home and want to answer the door from your phone. A visitor presses the doorbell, you get a video call in the Tuya Smart app, and you can let them in from wherever you are. Supply price starts from AED 950 for the lock. Day to day it works like any keyless lever lock: fingerprint, PIN, card or the backup key from outside, and a turn knob inside. On top of that it adds period codes, one-time codes and temporary codes, which is what makes it useful for maids, drivers, cleaners and holiday home guests. It keeps up to 100 fingerprints on file, alongside cards and PIN codes. The camera is for the video call only. It does not recognise faces, so nobody gets in just by standing in front of it. The body is taller than its offline siblings at 393mm, runs on eight AA batteries and fits a 6068 mechanical mortise (60mm backset, 68mm spindle to cylinder). Ratings are IP54 and -25 to 70°C, so a sunny villa entrance is within spec. Before ordering we check two things: that the existing mortise matches, and that your Wi-Fi reaches the door with a usable signal. The honest limits: voice assistant support is not confirmed, remote features stop if your router loses power or internet, and battery changes come round more often than on an offline lock. If you never need to open the door remotely, the cheaper offline E5 does the basics just as well.

The E3 Pro earns its place in homes where people come and go when the owner is not there: a villa with a live-out maid, a driver collecting the children, a holiday home with weekly guests. A temporary code for the cleaner on Tuesday, or a video call to let the AC technician in while you are at work, is the real reason to choose it. It fits the European mortise doors common in Dubai villas, but we confirm the lock body centres first. Wi-Fi is the other check, because villa main doors are often a long way from the router, and a weak signal makes the video call slow. Tenants should remember that a tower apartment's entrance door is normally a fire door under building management control, so written approval from both landlord and building comes before any change. During a DEWA cut the lock keeps working on its batteries, but remote features pause until the router is back.
Lenovo in the UAE. Lenovo-branded smart locks and cameras are made by Yunka Intelligent (Shenzhen) under licence as part of Lenovo's smart-device ecosystem, rather than by Lenovo's computer business. Most of the locks run on the Tuya / Smart Life app, while the cameras use the cam720 app. UAE availability is patchy: a few models are stocked by specialist smart-lock retailers and many are sourced to order, so we confirm the exact model, lock body and lead time before quoting.
