Lenovo E5 fingerprint door lock: offline fingerprint, PIN, card and key entry in black or coffee gold, for Dubai villa and apartment doors that need no app.
The Lenovo E5 is an offline fingerprint door lock with a lever handle, for a Dubai villa or apartment household that wants to stop carrying keys but has no interest in apps, Wi-Fi or phone alerts. It opens by fingerprint, PIN, card or key, runs on four AA batteries, and comes in coffee gold as well as black. The outside panel carries a semiconductor fingerprint reader and a touch keypad. The inside panel holds the batteries and a turn knob, so you leave the house without reaching for a key. Between them sits a mechanical mortise lock body with a C-grade cylinder for the backup key. The memory takes 100 fingerprints and 100 cards, along with 50 PIN codes. The lock body is a 6068 type: 60mm backset and 68mm between the handle spindle and the cylinder. Many Dubai doors already take a European mortise, but the pocket in your door may not match these exact centres, so we measure before we quote. The panels are rated IP54 and from -25 to 70°C, which covers a sun-facing villa door in August. Because nothing connects to the internet, a router fault or DEWA outage makes no difference to how it works. The limits are clear. There is no app, no remote unlocking, no timed codes and no notification when someone comes home. Every user is added and removed at the door itself. If you run a holiday home, manage staff from the office, or want to see who is at the door, this is the wrong lock and the E3 Pro is the one to look at.

Most Dubai villa and apartment main doors use a European mortise lock, which is the family the E5 belongs to, but backsets and cylinder centres vary between door makers. That is why we measure the existing lock body before anything is ordered. In a villa the main door is yours to change, and the E5 also works well on a side door, a home office or the door to staff quarters. In an apartment, the entrance door is usually fire-rated and controlled by building management, so get written approval from the landlord and the building before any change. Heat is not a worry with a 70°C rating, though a porch or canopy keeps dust and rain off the keypad. Fingerprint readers in Dubai collect fine dust, so a quick wipe each week keeps reads quick. With no app, codes for maids, drivers or family visitors are added and deleted at the door, which suits a home with steady staff more than a busy rental.
Lenovo in the UAE. Lenovo-branded smart locks and cameras are made by Yunka Intelligent (Shenzhen) under licence as part of Lenovo's smart-device ecosystem, rather than by Lenovo's computer business. Most of the locks run on the Tuya / Smart Life app, while the cameras use the cam720 app. UAE availability is patchy: a few models are stocked by specialist smart-lock retailers and many are sourced to order, so we confirm the exact model, lock body and lead time before quoting.
