Lenovo E6 smart lock: an offline fingerprint lever lock with PIN, card and key on AA batteries, for Dubai homes that want keyless entry with no app or Wi-Fi.
The Lenovo E6 is an offline fingerprint smart lock, the entry model of the E6 lever lock family, and it suits a Dubai household that wants keyless entry on a main door or staff entrance without any app, Wi-Fi or phone involved. It shares one aluminium body and mortise with the E6 WiFi and E6 Pro, but drops the connected features. Four ways in remain: a fingerprint on the handle, a keypad PIN, an IC card and the mechanical key. Memory covers 100 fingerprints, 100 cards and 50 PINs, and a period code can limit someone to set times. Four AA batteries power it, so there is nothing to recharge; you swap the cells when the low battery alarm sounds. The E6 is not stocked in the UAE, so we source it to order. The door has to accept its mechanical mortise (60 mm backset, 68 mm centres), and because that may not match the lock you have now, we look at the door first. Heat is less of a worry than usual, with an IP54 rating and a 70°C ceiling in the catalogue. The honest limits: no remote unlocking, no one-time or temporary codes, no phone alerts and no voice control, and Lenovo publishes no door thickness range for it. Some overseas shops sell a Wi-Fi lock under the E6 name; the model on this page is the offline one.

The plain E6 makes sense where a phone-free lock is the whole point: a staff entrance at the back of a villa, a door for elderly parents who only want a fingerprint and a PIN, or a home where Wi-Fi does not reach the main door. It is a weak choice for holiday homes and short lets, because there are no one-time codes and nothing can be changed from afar. Dust and heat are covered by IP54 and a 70°C rating, but alkaline cells drain faster on a hot door, so keep spares in a kitchen drawer. Its mortise layout may not match your current lock, so the door gets measured first. Fire-rated tower doors need the building's approval before any lock change, and renters need the landlord's signature too. DEWA cuts make no difference, since nothing relies on mains power or the internet. It is sourced to order.
Lenovo in the UAE. Lenovo-branded smart locks and cameras are made by Yunka Intelligent (Shenzhen) under licence as part of Lenovo's smart-device ecosystem, rather than by Lenovo's computer business. Most of the locks run on the Tuya / Smart Life app, while the cameras use the cam720 app. UAE availability is patchy: a few models are stocked by specialist smart-lock retailers and many are sourced to order, so we confirm the exact model, lock body and lead time before quoting.
