Lenovo U2GF glass door smart lock, sold in the UAE: clamps onto 8 to 12mm frameless glass with no drilling, with 3D face, fingerprint, code and card entry.
The Lenovo U2GF is a clamp-on smart lock for frameless glass doors, the one to pick if you want face recognition, and unlike its U2G sibling it is already sold in the UAE. It clamps onto frameless glass 8 to 12mm thick without drilling, so it suits office entrances, shop doors and villa glass partitions. The set has two parts. The lock unit grips one glass leaf, keypad facing out and a turn knob inside, while a slim keeper grips the facing leaf or the fixed pane beside it. The gap between the two must be 3 to 10mm, and the lock can be set for a left or right hand door. A motion sensor wakes the 3D face camera as someone walks up, so regular staff come in hands free. Fingerprint, PIN code, card, a remote fob and the Tuya app cover everyone else. It stores 50 faces, 100 fingerprints, 500 codes and 500 cards, which is generous for a busy office. A 2,500mAh rechargeable battery runs it, with a USB-C input for emergency power. The honest limits: a glass door is only as strong as its glass, so treat this as access control for an office, shop or internal door, not a high-security villa main entrance. With an IP54 rating it belongs indoors or under cover. Framed aluminium glass doors need the L1 family instead, and Alexa or Google voice control is not listed for this model.

Frameless glass doors are everywhere in Dubai commercial space: a small office entrance in Business Bay or JLT, a clinic reception, a salon or a showroom. Villas use them too, for a home office, a gym or a partition off the majlis. Since toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled after it leaves the factory, a clamp-on lock is the practical answer. In a rented office or a mall unit, the landlord or mall management normally has to approve any change to the door, even one that leaves no holes. The large code and card capacity suits a company with shifts, cleaners and couriers. Wi-Fi must reach the door, which is easy at a reception near the office router but may need an extra access point at a villa garden door. A DEWA cut leaves the lock working on its battery. IP54 handles dust and splashes, not facade washing or rain on an exposed shopfront.
Lenovo in the UAE. Lenovo-branded smart locks and cameras are made by Yunka Intelligent (Shenzhen) under licence as part of Lenovo's smart-device ecosystem, rather than by Lenovo's computer business. Most of the locks run on the Tuya / Smart Life app, while the cameras use the cam720 app. UAE availability is patchy: a few models are stocked by specialist smart-lock retailers and many are sourced to order, so we confirm the exact model, lock body and lead time before quoting.
