Choose the S30 Pro when several people need access by several different methods on the same door. It carries fingerprint, keypad PIN, RFID card, app and mechanical key, which means a family member uses a finger, a cleaner uses a card, a contractor gets a code that expires and everyone appears separately in the log. That breadth, rather than any single standout feature, is what this lock is for. It is a full replacement with a push-pull handle and auto-lock, controlled at the door over Bluetooth and remotely through the Lockin Wi-Fi gateway. Against the X9 Pro at similar money, the S30 Pro is the more conventional shape with a wider credential set, while the X9 Pro puts its money into the reader in the handle. Neither is better in the abstract. Decide whether the daily annoyance you are solving is credential management or the speed of getting through the door. As with the rest of the Lockin range, the biometrics read the surface of the fingertip, so plan a card or a PIN for anyone whose hands take a beating, and expect support through a distributor rather than a showroom counter.

Access in a Dubai villa is rarely one household with one habit. Extended family, live-in staff, a driver, weekly cleaners and community maintenance all use the same door, and the reason to buy a broad-credential lock is to stop that turning into one PIN everybody knows. Cards for staff, fingerprints for family and expiring codes for contractors is the arrangement we set up at handover. This is a full replacement, so the door is cut and worked, which makes it an owner's product: tenants in a market where around 70% of residents rent should be on a retrofit instead. Fine sand gets into everything here and it is the fingerprint reader that suffers, so we enrol two fingers per person and put outdoor workers on cards.
Lockin in the UAE. Sold through UAE smart home retail. Its palm-vein and finger-vein locks read blood-vessel patterns rather than a fingerprint surface, which is a class of lock most brands here do not offer.
