It reaches the UAE through the distributor channel rather than through Amazon or noon, which is why a search comes back empty and people assume it is not sold at all. Here is what we can confirm from the certification paperwork rather than from sales copy. Lockin Technology in Beijing registered it as model XFCL301 under FCC ID 2BPG9-XFCL301 in July 2025, with the test reports released in January 2026. Those filings show a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth and an NFC card reader at 13.56 MHz. There is no 5 GHz Wi-Fi, no Zigbee and no Thread radio inside it. What Lockin has not published anywhere public is a full international spec sheet for this model, so there is no official battery figure, screen size or camera resolution. We will not copy those numbers across from the V5 Max and call them facts about this lock. We confirm the sheet with the distributor in writing before you buy, and if the answer does not suit your door or your household, we say so.

The good news for Dubai is the family. Lockin's V locks are mortise locks, so they replace the mortise body and lever handles that sit in most flat and villa entrance doors here, rather than fighting them. We still measure three things before ordering: door thickness, the mortise size already cut into the door, and the handing, because left and right hung doors take different builds. In a tower, check with building management first, since flat entrance doors are usually fire rated and changing them without approval causes trouble at handover. Tenants should get that approval in writing and keep the old lock. The lock runs on batteries, so a DEWA cut does not shut you out, but the Wi-Fi side goes quiet until the router is back. Wi-Fi here is 2.4 GHz only, which is normal for locks and means a router or mesh point within reach of the front door.
