The PETKIT PuraMax 2 is a large self-cleaning litter box for Dubai homes with one to several adult cats, where nobody wants to scoop twice a day. It suits owners who travel, work long hours or rent, because it needs no install at all. After your cat leaves, the drum waits, then rotates to sift the clumps into a sealed 7 litre bin in the base. Sensors in the base and near the door pause the cycle if a cat comes close. The PETKIT app over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi logs each visit, flags a full bin or low litter, and lets you start a clean from the office. You buy clumping litter, bin bags and odour eliminator refills on an ongoing basis. It will not work with silica crystal litter or wood pellets. In Dubai, place it indoors in an air-conditioned room. PETKIT says to keep it out of direct sun and away from heat and high humidity, so an unconditioned balcony, laundry area or maid's room in August is the wrong spot. It needs a hard, flat floor, a socket nearby and a gap of about 8 to 10 cm on every side, which rules out a tight bathroom corner in many apartments. Honest limits: it is big at 62 cm wide, kittens under six months and cats under 1.5 kg should not use it, and the drum still needs a proper wash about once a month. Nervous cats can take a week or two to accept it.

Treat this as an indoor, air-conditioned appliance. PETKIT's own safety guide says no direct sun, no high heat and no high humidity, so the laundry balcony, an outdoor store or a maid's room without AC in summer are poor places for it. It needs a hard, flat floor, not a rug, and about 8 to 10 cm of space on all sides, so measure before you order: 62 cm wide and 54 cm deep is bigger than most apartment bathroom corners allow. Power is a 12V adapter into a normal socket. The Middle East version ships with a local plug, but a parallel-import unit may need a Type-G adapter. Your router must offer a 2.4GHz network. It has no battery, so a DEWA cut stops cleaning until power returns. Warranty through PETKIT Middle East is 6 months on the local listing, shorter than many US deals, so buy from a listing that names it.
