The Litter-Robot 4 is the self-cleaning litter box most cat owners have heard of, and it suits Dubai homes with one to four cats where the owner values a long track record over a local warranty desk. Whisker has no UAE distributor, so every unit here is imported. Your cat walks into the globe, a weight scale and curtain sensors register the visit, and after a delay you choose (3 to 30 minutes) the globe turns and drops clumps into a sealed, carbon-filtered drawer. The free Whisker app shows drawer and litter levels, logs visits and tracks each cat's weight. Whisker+ is an optional paid upgrade for longer trends. You need clumping litter and drawer liners. Crystal litter only works if it passes the screen, and white crystals confuse the level sensor. For UAE power, buy the UK version, which ships with a plug that fits our sockets. The EU version needs a Type-G adapter. Placement matters more than people expect. Whisker says it must not touch any wall, must sit on a hard level floor, and should stay in a cool, dry room out of direct sun. At 56 cm wide, 69 cm deep and 75 cm tall it will not tuck into a small bathroom. Honest limits: warranty claims mean dealing with Whisker Europe or the US by email and shipping, not a Dubai service centre. Kittens under 1.36 kg cannot use automatic mode. There is no Whisker distributor in the UAE, so this is an imported product. Buy the UK version where you can: it runs on the 230V supply and has a Type-G plug that fits Dubai sockets. The EU version needs a plug adapter, and we would avoid US or Canadian stock. Whisker says warranty cover follows you if you move countries, but you may pay shipping, so a fault means posting parts to or from Europe. Place it indoors in an air-conditioned room. The manual asks for a cool, dry spot out of direct sun, so skip balconies, laundry rooms without AC and steamy bathrooms. It must not touch a wall or sit in a corner, because that throws off the weight scale. Allow about 70 by 80 cm of floor. For villas with frequent DEWA cuts, the optional backup battery keeps it cycling, though Wi-Fi switches off in battery mode.
