SwitchMan is the switch to consider when the count is high and the budget is fixed, for example a villa where twenty plates need replacing and the Aqara price multiplied out is not workable. It comes in one, two and three gang versions and in both Wi-Fi and Zigbee variants, which is the useful part: at high device counts choose the Zigbee version so the switches build their own mesh rather than filling your router's client table. It needs a neutral at the box, and the fit is a standard UK aperture. Where it sits below Aqara is in the software rather than the hardware. eWeLink is a functional app rather than a polished one, and long-term platform support in the budget Tuya and eWeLink tier has been less consistent than the tier above. That is the trade you are making, and it is a reasonable one on a secondary property or a rental unit where the switch simply has to work. In a main villa where the system needs to be right for a decade, spend the difference.

Sold in UAE online retail in UK wall plate form, so it fits the standard box in Dubai villas and apartments. It needs a neutral, so older apartments without one need the Aqara H1 instead. If you are fitting more than about six of these, take the Zigbee variant rather than the Wi-Fi one: the whole reason to pick a cheap switch is to buy a lot of them, and a lot of Wi-Fi switches is exactly the configuration that performs worst in a villa. Treat it as the value option for rentals, staff accommodation and secondary properties rather than the default for a main home.
