The P100 is the least expensive genuine entry into home automation and the right place to start if you are unsure whether any of this is for you. It goes between the socket and the appliance and gives you app control, scheduling and voice through Alexa or Google, with no hub and nothing wired. Typical uses in a Dubai home are a water heater on a morning schedule, a lamp on a holiday routine so the flat does not look empty, and a coffee machine that comes on before the alarm. It has no energy monitoring, which is the only real difference from the P110 above it, and if you want to know what an appliance is costing you then pay the small difference for that model instead. The plug is UK Type-G, which is what UAE sockets are, so it fits directly with no adapter. Do not buy US-market plugs such as Wemo or the American Kasa line from overseas sellers: they are the wrong pin format and the wrong voltage and they will not work here at all.

This is a Type-G plug matched to UAE sockets, sold through regional distribution with genuine local warranty, and it is one of the highest volume smart home items on Amazon.ae. Do not substitute a US-market plug bought abroad: Wemo and the US Kasa range use flat pins on 110V and are not usable here even with an adapter. The most common Dubai application we set up is the electric water heater on a timed schedule, which stops it heating all day in an empty apartment. Check the appliance rating against the plug before using it on anything heavy: the standard plug is not the part for a high-load water heater circuit.
