The only battery a Huawei SUN2000 inverter will accept, and a good one if you have chosen that path.
The battery you buy because you chose a Huawei inverter, not because you compared batteries. LUNA2000 pairs exclusively with Huawei SUN2000 hybrids, so the decision was effectively made earlier in the specification. Taken on its own terms it is a strong product. Capacity runs from 5 to 21kWh through stacked 5kWh and 7kWh modules, each delivering 3.5kW of power, and the platform expands to 252kWh across up to twelve ESS units for anything commercial. Smart string balancing is the distinguishing feature: each module manages its own energy independently rather than the whole bank being limited by its weakest pack, which preserves usable capacity as modules age at different rates and matters over a fifteen-year life. Wall or floor mounted, reported through FusionSolar alongside the inverter and the array, so generation, consumption and battery state sit in one place rather than across two apps and two support channels. The closed ecosystem is the honest caveat to repeat. You cannot substitute a cheaper battery later, you cannot mix brands in the bank, and expansion is at Huawei's UAE pricing on the day. No distributor publishes an AED price, so it is quote-only and premium bracket.

Specify LUNA2000 whenever a Dubai villa is being built around a Huawei SUN2000 inverter, because nothing else will pair with it. That is the whole shape of the decision, and it should be made at inverter stage rather than discovered afterwards. What you get in return is a battery that commissions without protocol difficulties and reports through the same FusionSolar app as the array, which cuts down commissioning time and gives the client one place to look. Capacity from 5 to 21kWh covers residential needs comfortably; most Dubai villas land in the 10 to 20kWh range because the grid here is reliable enough that whole-house autonomy is rarely worth the money. LiFePO4 chemistry suits the climate, though the bank still belongs in a cool ventilated space rather than an unshaded external position. Supply is quote-only through Huawei's UAE distributor network, at a premium figure, with no published AED price. Batteries on backup and off-grid systems involve no DEWA process at all.
