Overview

What it is and where it fits

The default battery module for a Dubai residential bank of 10kWh or more. It carries 4.8kWh in the same rack footprint the US3000C uses for 3.5kWh, so a given bank size needs fewer modules, fewer interconnects and less rack space. Same 48V nominal voltage, same wide inverter compatibility. That compatibility is the real product. Deye, Growatt, GoodWe, Sungrow and Victron all carry native BMS profiles for Pylontech, which turns battery commissioning into a menu selection rather than a protocol investigation, and means any competent UAE installer can support the system later. Low-voltage 48V architecture also keeps your options open across the system's life: high-voltage stacks tie the battery to a narrow set of matched inverters, and if that manufacturer's local support changes you have nowhere to go. LiFePO4 chemistry is the correct choice for this climate because it tolerates sustained heat considerably better than the lithium chemistries it replaced, though it still wants a cool, ventilated location rather than a sealed external cabinet in summer. AED 4,750 is the live ex-VAT price at Maxima Solar in Dubai, which is one of the few genuinely published battery prices in the UAE market.

  • More capacity per rack position than the US3000C, so large banks stay compact
  • Works with nearly every 48V hybrid inverter sold in the UAE
  • LiFePO4 chemistry suited to sustained UAE heat
  • A published AED price in a category that is otherwise quote-driven

What to check before you order

This is the module we put into most Dubai battery specifications. For a bank in the 10 to 20kWh range it needs fewer units than the US3000C, which means less rack space, fewer interconnections and a tidier installation in what is often a cramped villa store or plant space. The 48V low-voltage architecture pairs with the Growatt WIT 15K-HU, the Growatt SPH range, Victron and Sungrow's hybrid lines, but not with the Deye SUN-30K-SG01HP3, which is a high-voltage battery inverter. Confirm the inverter's battery voltage class before ordering, because that mismatch is the single most common error in a first battery specification. Location matters as much as chemistry here: put the bank in the coolest ventilated space available, keep it out of an unshaded external cabinet and away from a roof void, and its rated life is realistic. Storage on an off-grid or backup system involves no DEWA process. Inside a Shams Dubai grid-tied system, the technical position on batteries should be confirmed for the specific project.

Pylontech in the UAE. The most widely stocked LiFePO4 battery in the UAE, and cross-compatible with the BMS protocols most hybrid inverters speak.

Questions about the Pylontech US5000 4.8kWh 48V Rack Battery

Will this work with any inverter I choose?
Chevron down icon
With any 48V low-voltage hybrid, which covers most of them: Growatt, Sungrow, GoodWe, Victron and many Deye models. It will not work with a high-voltage battery inverter such as the Deye SUN-30K-SG01HP3, or with Huawei's SUN2000, which accepts only Huawei LUNA2000 modules. Check the inverter's battery voltage class first.

How many modules do I need?
Chevron down icon
That depends on what you want backed up and for how long. Four modules give roughly 19kWh, which covers essential circuits comfortably overnight for most villas or shifts a good portion of daytime solar into the evening. We size it against your consumption pattern rather than against a round number, because unused battery capacity is expensive.

Is battery storage worth it in Dubai at all?
Chevron down icon
Be honest about why you want it. Dubai's grid is exceptionally stable, so batteries are rarely bought here for outage protection the way they are elsewhere. The real cases are self-consumption of solar generated during the day, resilience for properties outside Dubai proper, and off-grid builds where there is no grid to rely on.

Does heat shorten its life?
Chevron down icon
Sustained high temperature shortens any lithium battery's life, and cycle ratings assume moderate operating conditions. LiFePO4 handles heat better than the older chemistries, which is why it is the right choice here, but installation location still does more for longevity than the datasheet. Cool, ventilated, out of direct sun.
