The SwitchBot Universal Remote is a handheld controller that puts your TV, air conditioner, fan, projector and media box behind one screen. It has a 2.4-inch LCD, 19 buttons and a touch wheel, so you can change the channel or drop the AC temperature without hunting for the right clicker. Setup runs through the free SwitchBot app and takes about ten minutes. You choose your TV or AC brand from a library of more than 83,000 models and it works right away. After that, everyday control happens offline, so a slow Wi-Fi day or a router reboot never stops you turning things on. One point to be honest about. The remote works on its own for library-based infrared control, but a SwitchBot Hub (sold separately) is needed for three jobs: learning custom codes that are not in the library, controlling SwitchBot's own devices like the Bot or Curtain, and bridging to Matter for Apple Home. The maker even titles its own listing "Hub Required". It fits Dubai homes with a few infrared appliances in one room, a villa majlis or a living room where remotes pile up.
