The Reolink RLC-820A is a wired 4K outdoor camera that runs on Power over Ethernet, so one network cable carries both power and video. There is no Wi-Fi and no battery. That single-cable setup suits a villa, where you can run cable from a PoE switch or a Reolink NVR out to a wall, gate or car port and get a steady feed with no drop-outs. It shoots 8MP (3840x2160) at 25 frames per second, so number plates and faces stay readable when you zoom into a clip. A 1/2.49-inch sensor sits behind a fixed 4mm f/2.0 lens for an 87-degree wide view. At night, 18 infrared LEDs light the scene up to 30 metres in black and white. On-device AI separates people and vehicles from moving leaves, cats or shadows, so you get fewer pointless phone alerts. Everything runs through the free Reolink app on iPhone, Android, Windows or Mac, with no monthly cloud fee. Recording goes to a microSD card (up to 256GB, sold separately), a Reolink NVR or an FTP server. Who it suits: villa owners and long-term tenants who already run, or plan to add, a PoE switch or NVR. For that setup it is a strong budget 4K pick. It is not for you if you want a quick plug-in Wi-Fi camera or full Alexa and Apple Home control. The camera casts to Chromecast and Google Home, and that is the limit of its smart-home links.

The RLC-820A is built for Dubai outdoors. Its IP67 housing keeps out rain in winter and the fine dust that coats everything here, and it is rated to work from -10 to 55 degrees. In peak summer, mount it under a soffit, balcony or car-port roof rather than in direct afternoon sun, which helps any camera run cooler and last longer. Because it is PoE, you do not need a Type-G socket at the camera. Power comes down the Ethernet cable from a PoE switch or NVR sitting indoors, usually near your router or DEWA meter cupboard. That also means Wi-Fi range across a big villa is not an issue, since the camera does not use Wi-Fi at all. For an apartment, PoE cabling is harder unless you own the unit or the building allows it, so renters in flats may prefer a plug-in camera.
