A professional gateway that links VRF and VRV air conditioning from most major brands to KNX, Modbus, BACnet and an app, for Dubai villas and buildings.
The CoolAutomation CoolMaster is a gateway that connects your VRF or VRV air conditioning to KNX, a building management system or an app. It is for villas, large homes and buildings with Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, LG, Samsung, Toshiba and similar VRF systems. It is not for single wall splits or tower fan coils. A technician wires it to the AC system's own communication bus, such as Daikin DIII-NET or Mitsubishi Electric M-NET. CoolMaster then sees every indoor unit and passes on power, mode, set temperature, fan speed and swing, plus fault codes. One unit handles up to 32 indoor units over several lines and brands. The CoolMasterPro goes to 255. It speaks Modbus RTU and IP, BACnet IP and MSTP, ASCII and a REST API, and KNX versions plug straight into a KNX bus. CoolAutomation's control app is free with the device. What else you need: a 12 or 24V supply, a network connection, sometimes a brand adapter, and proper integration work. Dubai fit is good for villas with VRF. Mount it in a cooled indoor panel, since it is rated to 60 C. Local control keeps running if the internet drops. Who should not buy it: tenants, homes with only a few wall splits, and apartments on district cooling. For those, simpler controllers make more sense.

CoolMaster suits Dubai villas, palaces and small commercial buildings with their own VRF or VRV systems, which covers most Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric City Multi, LG, Samsung, Toshiba, Hitachi, Midea and Gree VRF installs we see. It connects to the AC bus, usually at the outdoor unit or a bus point indoors, so the survey starts with model numbers. It is not the answer for towers on Empower, Emicool or Tabreed chilled water, where fan coils need KNX or Modbus thermostats, and it is overkill for a few wall splits. Mount it in a ventilated or cooled low-voltage panel, never beside a rooftop condenser, because it is rated to 60 C. Put the gateway and network switch on a UPS so DEWA cuts do not leave the automation system blind. CoolAutomation's apps were in the UAE App Store in September 2026. Tenants need landlord or building approval.
CoolAutomation in the UAE. Maker of CoolMaster gateways that connect ducted, split and VRF indoor units from most major AC brands to one app, KNX or a building management system. Sold through system integrators rather than retail in the UAE, so we quote per villa once we know the AC brand, the indoor unit count and the controller line.
