The EZVIZ DL04 Pro is a smart deadbolt that swaps your door's turning key for five ways in, plus a normal key for emergencies. You open it with a fingerprint (up to 50 prints), a 6 to 10 digit code (up to 50 codes), a proximity card, your phone over Bluetooth, or remotely from the EZVIZ app. It joins your 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi directly, so there is no separate hub or bridge to buy. Power comes from four AA batteries. When they run low the lock warns you in the app, and if they ever die you can hold a USB-C power bank to the port on the outside panel to get in. The outside panel is IP55 rated against dust and splashes. The inside panel is not weather-rated, which is fine because it sits indoors. For Dubai homes, it suits both apartment and villa front doors where you want to stop handing out keys to family, a maid or building staff. You can set a cleaner a code that only works on certain days, then check a log of who opened the door and when. Renters like it because it can be fitted now and removed later. Honest limits: it runs through the EZVIZ app, not Apple Home, and it needs Wi-Fi at the door for remote features. A metal fire door or an unusual existing lock is worth a site check before fitting. This is a value lock, not a heavy premium unit.

Most Dubai front doors take this lock, but the door decides. Villa doors are often solid wood and fit easily. Apartment doors are usually metal fire doors, which can be drilled but need a proper installer and, if you rent, written permission from the landlord or agent first. Because the lock removes cleanly, many tenants fit it and take it when they move. Heat matters here. The outside panel is IP55, so dust and a splash are fine, but a door in direct west sun gets very hot, so a little shade helps the electronics and batteries last longer. Register your fingerprints with clean, dry hands, since sweat in summer can cause a misread, and keep a code as backup. The lock runs on batteries, so a DEWA power cut does not lock you out. You do not need DEWA or SIRA approval for a home lock. Wi-Fi should reach the door for app features, which matters in larger villas.
