Lenovo A1 Glass Lock Set: face recognition access control with a clamp-on glass door lock, for frameless glass entrances at Dubai offices, clinics and shops.
The Lenovo A1 Glass Lock Set is a face recognition access control kit for a Dubai business with a frameless glass front door that wants staff to walk in by face, with a log of every entry, and it is overkill for a home. In the box you get a wall-mounted face terminal, a wireless lock controller, a wireless doorbell switch for inside, and a glass-door lock body with its matching strike. The lock clamps onto the glass edge, so the toughened panel is not drilled. The terminal recognises up to 600 faces, and also takes 600 PIN codes, 600 cards and NFC. An infrared liveness check stops someone holding up a photo, and an LED fill light helps in a dim lobby. Staff faces can be enrolled by importing photos, which saves lining everyone up at the door. Two office features matter in practice. Door hold open keeps the entrance unlocked during trading hours, and access time groups stop cleaners or junior staff getting in outside their shift. The terminal keeps up to 50,000 entry records. It runs on a 5000mAh rechargeable battery, which the maker rates at about six months or 7,000 face unlocks in lab tests. Its working range tops out at 55°C, so the terminal must sit indoors or under cover, never on a sun-facing glass frontage. The catalogue lists remote unlocking but does not name the app, so we confirm that before quoting. Note that this is a commercial kit, unrelated to the residential Lenovo A1 lever lock sold in parts of Asia.

Frameless glass entrances are everywhere in Dubai commercial space: business centre suites in JLT and Business Bay, clinics in Healthcare City, salons and boutiques in community retail strips. Most of these doors still run on a key or a basic keypad, and staff share codes freely. A face terminal ends code sharing and gives the owner an entry log. The heat limit is the main catch. The terminal is rated to 55°C, so it belongs inside the glass line or in a shaded mall corridor, not on a street-facing frontage that takes afternoon sun. In a mall or tower, the landlord or building management controls shopfront changes, so their written approval comes first, and fire exits must still open from inside without power. We check the glass thickness, the gap between leaves, the exit arrangement and Wi-Fi coverage at the door before we quote.
Lenovo in the UAE. Lenovo-branded smart locks and cameras are made by Yunka Intelligent (Shenzhen) under licence as part of Lenovo's smart-device ecosystem, rather than by Lenovo's computer business. Most of the locks run on the Tuya / Smart Life app, while the cameras use the cam720 app. UAE availability is patchy: a few models are stocked by specialist smart-lock retailers and many are sourced to order, so we confirm the exact model, lock body and lead time before quoting.
