Lenovo A1 Standard Set: face recognition terminal, controller and exit switch, no lock, for Dubai offices and clinics with a magnetic lock or automatic door.
The Lenovo A1 Standard Set is a face recognition access control kit with no lock included, the right buy only if your Dubai office or clinic door already has an electric lock or an automatic operator. It adds face recognition to that hardware and supplies no lock of its own. Typical Dubai cases are an office glass door held by a magnetic lock with a tired card reader, a clinic entrance on an automatic sliding door, or a gym or co-working space that wants to stop members sharing codes. The box holds three parts: a face terminal (190 x 87 x 32mm), a wireless lock controller (74 x 72 x 20mm) and a wireless doorbell switch (86 x 63 x 22mm) for the inside wall, which also releases the door. The catalogue lists electric strikes, magnetic locks and other smart locks as compatible, plus automatic doors and electric door openers. Once connected, it handles up to 600 users per method (face, PIN and card), reads NFC and logs up to 50,000 entries. Faces can be enrolled from photos, infrared liveness detection blocks printed pictures, and time groups keep night cleaners and day staff to their own hours. The terminal itself runs on a 5000mAh rechargeable battery and is rated to 55°C, so it goes indoors or under solid cover. Three honest limits. The power supply and wiring for your existing lock are not in the kit, and we work them out at the survey. Any mechanical key override comes from the lock you already have. And the app behind remote unlocking is not named in the catalogue, so we confirm it before you order.

A lot of Dubai office and clinic entrances already have the hard part done: a magnetic lock on the glass, a green exit button and a card reader nobody trusts because cards get lent out. The Standard Set swaps that reader for face entry without touching the lock, which keeps the cost and disruption down. It also suits automatic sliding doors at clinics and showrooms, where staff want to walk in after hours without a fob. Two local realities shape the job. Magnetic locks on escape routes are normally tied into the fire alarm and paired with a break-glass release, and building management or your fire consultant sets those rules, so the face terminal must not bypass them. And with a 55°C ceiling, the terminal belongs inside the lobby or in a shaded corridor. In towers and malls, written approval from the landlord comes before any change.
Lenovo in the UAE. Lenovo-branded smart locks and cameras are made by Yunka Intelligent (Shenzhen) under licence as part of Lenovo's smart-device ecosystem, rather than by Lenovo's computer business. Most of the locks run on the Tuya / Smart Life app, while the cameras use the cam720 app. UAE availability is patchy: a few models are stocked by specialist smart-lock retailers and many are sourced to order, so we confirm the exact model, lock body and lead time before quoting.
