The H1 no-neutral is the answer when you open the switch plate in an older Dubai apartment and find no neutral wire. It works by passing a very small current through the light circuit itself to keep its own electronics alive, which is what lets it function on two wires where a normal smart switch needs three. That trick has a real cost you should know about before committing a whole flat: on very low wattage LED fittings, that trickle of current can make the lamp flicker gently or glow faintly when it is meant to be off. It depends entirely on the specific fitting, so test one before you order twelve. Where it works, and in most cases it does, you get the same Zigbee behaviour as the rest of the Aqara range: three independent rockers, physical control that survives an internet outage, scene triggers on a double click, and Apple Home, Alexa and Google through an Aqara hub. If your box does have a neutral, buy the Z1 Pro instead. There is no reason to accept the flicker risk when you do not have to.

Older Dubai apartment stock, particularly buildings put up before the mid 2000s, very often has no neutral conductor at the switch box, and this is the model that solves it. The trade-off is the small standing current the switch draws through the lamp circuit. On a 3W or 5W LED downlight that current is sometimes enough to produce a faint glow or a slow flicker with the switch off, so we fit one switch on one circuit and watch it for a day before ordering the rest of a villa or flat. If the fitting misbehaves, changing that lamp for a slightly higher wattage LED usually clears it. Where a neutral does exist, use the Z1 Pro and avoid the question entirely.
